The Annual Memorial Mass for the deceased members of the Taouk family will be held on Sunday 31st January 2016.
Tea and coffee will be served outside the church at the end of the mass
St. Maroun’s Maronite Catholic Church first opened in Elizabeth Street Redfern in January 1897. This was replaced by the larger St. Maroun’s Cathedral at Redfern, Sydney in 1964.
The first family memorial mass was held in St Maroun Cathedral and this tradition has continued to this day.
Afterwards you are all invited to the historic grand opening of the Bsharri centre. There will be games for the kids, and a sausage sizzle. This is an historic day for the Bsharri community and we look forward to seeing you there.
The Bsharri Association of NSW will be holding a memorial Mass for the late Antoine El-Khoury Taouk.
Antoine dedicated his life to the construction of public buildings in Bsharri, including the Church of Our Lady, the Bsharri public school for girls and the Hospital of Mar Mama.
His son Gibran will travel from Melbourne to be at the memorial mass.
