With heavy and painful hearts, and with a greeting to the souls of the two martyrs, Haitham and Malek Taouk, we stand in solidarity with our families in Bsharri who are experiencing the sting of pain through their tragedy. Consequently, the Bsharri Association of NSW invites you to take part in a memorial Mass which will be held at 2.00pm on Sunday 9 July at Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral, Harris Park (40/46 Alice Street Harris Park), for the souls of the two fallen men. This is a general invitation. Consequently, condolences will take place for Haitham Taouk and Malek Taouk at the Bsharri hall, Enfield, tonight (Monday 3 July) and tomorrow night (Tuesday 4 July) from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.

Yesterday, a serious incident took place at Qornet Al-Sawda in Lebanon. Two men from Bsharrie were killed in the incident: Haitham Taouk and Malek Taouk. The Bsharrie Association of NSW and the Bsharrie community in Australia takes this incident very seriously and expresses its pain and solidarity with the people of Bsharri and the region in Lebanon. The Bsharri Association condemns this cowardly act and calls on the authorities to apprehend those who are responsible for the murders as soon as possible. In these tragic times, the Bsharri community in Sydney will gather in solidarity at the Bsharri hall at Enfield from 2.00pm today, Sunday 2 July. |
