We would like to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous 2020, full of hope and blessings. May our Lord Jesus Christ continue to be the utmost source of mercy and hope in our families.
On behalf of the Taouk Association, we would like to thank you for your continued support, cooperation and trust in our current committee. We hope that we have served you well throughout
It is with great anticipation, that we call all family members to participate in our general meeting. The meeting will be held on Sunday, 9th of February 2020 at the Bsharri Hall located at 14 Coronation Parade, Enfield NSW 2136 Belfield at 4:00 pm.
The annual meeting will seek your input and/or vote on the following agenda items:
Taouk Association Email:
Secretary’s contact details:
Jean Taouk: 0405 148 189; or
Suhale Taouk: 0414 663 086
We urge all family members to attend this meeting as the decisions made will impact many years to come. We specifically encourage all women married outside of the family to be present as we greatly value their input on all matters scheduled for discussion.
Your attendance is highly appreciated as we plan to vote on and adopt the new constitution. Adopting the new constitution falls under special resolutions, which requires at least 150 members to attend in order to constitute a quorum.
In addition to the above, we would also like to re-evaluate the mercy meal, funeral arrangements, and our annual picnic logistics. As these are very sensitive subjects, it is important that we have as much feedback and participation from as many members as possible.
Finally, in relation to electing the new committee members, we encourage any person who has the knowledge, vision, commitment and time to help, to email their nomination to any of the positions listed below:
Your nominations must be emailed to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
For further assistance you can also contact the association secretaries:
Jean Taouk: 0405 148 189
Suhale Taouk: 0414 663 086
We urge you to review the new Constitution which has been attached for your convenience. The Constitution is in English and has been previously sent via email and has been published on the Taouk Association website for some time now. The Arabic version of the constitution will follow shortly.
Two of our youngest family members Mary (8) and Neveah (4) Taouk have been suffering from a genetic disorder that is so rare it has no name, and until recently no possible cure. It is with great hope that we can announce, due to new research and a crowd funding push, that Mary and Navaeh have a glimpse of hope.
Mary and Navaeh are the only two people in Australia to have been diagnosed with this disorder, with just a handful of people around the world. As a result of the rare and complex nature of the disorder, there is very little funding and research being put into treatment and cure.
If you would be interested in showing your support to these strong young girls, please click the link to the crowd funding page below.
Any donation amount will be much appreciated.
We thank you in advance for all you support.
